[交流] Miniaturizing particle accelerators for X-ray generation @ NTU Singapore

We are seeking a postdoc passionate about spearheading the discovery of new physics in emerging materials, especially pertaining to the development of compact, high-brightness X-ray sources. In particular, the postdoc will explore techniques to miniaturize particle accelerators in free-electron-driven X-ray sources. Our objective is to realize features currently available only in large scale X-ray facilities in a table-top setup. Compact, high quality X-ray sources have potential applications in industrial inspection, medical imaging and treatment, forensics, security inspection, and would also have a transformative impact on fundamental science (where X-rays have been responsible for >25 Nobel Prizes in Physics, Chemistry and Physiology/Medicine). Our research takes place at the boundary of quantum optics, particle waveshaping and nanomaterials. Read more about our work at our group website https://sites.g00gle.com/view/ljwgroup (replace "00" by "oo" in the website address).

Our group explores novel phenomena and groundbreaking applications arising from light-matter interactions. We are based at the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore (新加坡南洋理工大学).
