有兴趣者，欢迎联系Dr. Liao (leonl@iastate.edu) PhD and Postdoc Positions in Advanced Manufacturing and Materials Processing: Iowa State University, spring and fall 2022 Job Description: Advanced Manufacturing and Materials Processing Laboratory in the Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering at the Iowa State University has three fully funded PhD openings and one Postdoc position starting spring or fall 2022 for candidates with background in materials science, manufacturing, mechanical engineering, applied physics, and related area. The PhD students and Postdoc will conduct research in the following areas: 1. Additive manufacturing (3D printing) 2. Laser shock processing 3. Nano/micro-manufacturing of smart materials. 4. Advanced materials processing towards applications in supercapacitors and batteries. 5. Manufacturing process simulation and multiscale materials modeling. Requirements for PhD Student: BS/MS degree in materials science and engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, chemistry, or a closely related field. MS is preferred. Journal publication experience is preferred. Requirements for Postdoc: PhD in Advanced Manufacturing, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
