We found that Ru not only can reduce temperature of Co/SiO2 catalyst, but also improve quality of reduction degree. Photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) studies have shown that even if Ru content was up to 9.96%, the combination of Ru and Co species was not found in the process of calcinations. Among catalysts restored, Ru tends to close contact with Co species and to be dispersed at catalyst surface. With the increase in Ru content, H2 desorption of corresponding to Fischer-Tropsch synthesis reaction temperature shows monotonously increase in intensity, the same as reactivity. When suitable ruthenium content exists, selectivity of corresponding C5 + was improved. |
