Dear Colleague, Concurrency and Computation: Practice and Experience http://www3.interscience.wiley.c ... /grouphome/home.htm (ISSN: 1532-0626, Publisher: John Wiley & Sons) Special Issue on " Advanced Theory and Practice for High Performance Computing and Communications (ATPHPCC)" Due to the rapid growth in computing power and network technology, the next generation IT environments have rapidly emerged as an exciting new paradigm in an advanced computing and communication featuring daily-life objects that continuously involve and are focused on final non-expert users. It will provide us with computing and communication services in a much more convenient, seamless, and pleasurable way for the computing environments. So, the parallel and distributed system demand for advanced theory and practice of high performance computing and communications (ATPHPCC). The ATPHPCC will be the mainstream of computing and communications, and it has become a core technology in determining future research and development activities in many academic and industrial branches. The scope of this special issue is on all views of parallel and distributed system, and communications for ATPHPCC. The call is addressed to scientists and engineers, who design, develop, and implement system and software for ATPHPCC. We encourage scientists and engineers from both academic and industrial environments to submit their works in order to enhance the knowledge, expertise, and experience of the whole community for ATPHPCC. Topics include, but not limited to: High-performance scientific and engineering computing for ATPHPCC Performance evaluation and measurement for ATPHPCC Parallel and distributed algorithms, systems, and softwares for ATPHPCC Peer-to-peer computing for ATPHPCC Distributed systems and applications for ATPHPCC Collaborative and cooperative environments for ATPHPCC Mobile computing and wireless communications for ATPHPCC Grid and pervasive computing for ATPHPCC Autonomic, reliability and fault-tolerance for ATPHPCC Security issues and trust managements for ATPHPCC New idea suggestions and prototype for ATPHPCC Submission Guidelines Original, high quality contributions that are not yet published or that are not currently under review by other journals or peer-reviewed conferences are sought. Paper submissions must follow the instructions described in the Concurrency and Computation: Practice and Experience at http://www3.interscience.wiley.c ... ome/ForAuthors.html Authors whose selected papers have been accepted and presented at the Eleventh IEEE International Conference on High Performance Computing and Communications, HPCC-09 (http://www.sersc.org/HPCC2009) and the Third International Conference on Information Security and Assurance. ISA-09 (http://www.sersc.org/ISA2009/) are also invited to submit an extended and revised version of their papers to this special issue. The submitted papers must have at least 30% difference from the conference original papers.
