Research professor and postdoctoral fellow position opening for Energy Storage & Conversion Materials Lab in Korea University (South Korea) Introduction to Korea University and ESCML: Korea university (https://www.korea.ac.kr/mbshome/mbs/en/index.do) is located at the center of Seoul (Capital of South Korea) and the most famous private university in South Korea (https://www.topuniversities.com/ ... /south-korea/2019). Energy Storage & Conversion Materials Laboratory in Dept. of Materials Science and Engineering, Korea university is one of the representative research groups in battery or other energy conversion applications. We have very intimate connection with industry (LG chemistry, Umicore, so on), institutes and universities (UC Berkeley, UT Dallas, Uppsala University, Univ. of Wollongong, KAIST, Seoul Nat’l Univ. and so forth). If you have any interest in the interdisciplinary research related to energy materials, feel free to contact me. As proved by our recent publications, we’re trying to compete with world-best groups in this area. Applicant Instructions: Interested applicants should submit the following by email to: dake1234@korea.ac.kr : (1) cover letter, (2) curriculum vitae, (3) statement of research interests, (4) list of at least three references. These documents are mandatory for your application. Preferred Background: (1) Anode materials, Cathode materials, Solid-state electrolytes and so on for battery applications (2) Catalysts or electrocatalysis (3) Single particle measurements or Scanning electrochemical microscopy (4) Advanced analyses for electrode materials (5) Multi-scale simulation for batteries or other electrochemical systems (6) The applicant who can set up his or her own apparatus will be preferred If you would like to see the detailed introduction to our lab or research, please visit our website (https://sites.google.com/view/ymkang/). This research professor position should be recontracted on two-year basis and its salary amounts to about 36 ~ 60M KRW depending on the candidate’s career. For this position, PhDs with some careers are preferred. The postdoctoral fellow position will be available for fresh PhDs. We prefer the applicant who got PhD from Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, etc. with very competent publications. 1 research professor position and 1 postdoctoral fellow position are available now.
