one nih-funded postdoc opening is presently available in prof. yan yu’s laboratory in the department of chemistry at indiana university, bloomington. the group conducts research to develop nanotechnology-enabled tools to understand and control immune cell functions. more information about the group can be found at https://yu.lab.indiana.edu/. job summary: the main research project is to employ optical imaging and nanotechnology-based tools to investigate membrane organization and endosome functions in immune cells. minimum qualifications: ph.d. in biophysics, chemistry, biochemistry, or any related discipline. ideal qualifications: expertise in one or more areas in bioanalytical chemistry, cell biophysics, membrane biophysics, super-resolution fluorescence microscopy, nano-bio interactions, or immunology. a competitive salary along with a benefits package will be offered. the initial appointment for each position will be for 12 months. additional 12-month extension will be available based on performance and/or availability of funds. interested candidates should send curriculum vitae, including names of 2 references, to prof. yan yu at yy33@indiana.edu. applications will be reviewed upon receipt.
