There is a post doc opening at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at University of Florida for fabricating novel nanomaterials and testing them as electrodes in High Energy Density Li-ion Batteries. Develop design criteria that will limit fracture in materials during electrochemical cycling. Electrochemical and Material Characterization will be a significant aspect of this work. The applicant must be proficient in English (both in writing and speaking) and must be highly motivated and dedicatedApplicants must hold a PhD in electrochemistry or engineering. Preference will be given to those with expertise in nanomaterial fabrication, transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, electrochemical cycling and impedance. Applications are to be sent to Prof Katerina Aifantis (kaifanti@mtu.edu). |
