Plasmoil applications areas Plasmoil are equally bases or additives for a variety of lubricants, greases and fuel treatments. Plasmoil are viscosity index improvers with dispersion, anti-oxidation, pour point depression and, maybe mainly, highly efficient lubricity and friction reduction. As additives, the typical treat levels vary from 0.1 to 15% depending on application. As bases, higher percentage are used, especially in bio-greases and die-casting applications. Micros technology leads feedstocks to higher viscosity, higher electronegativity, higher polarity and higher viscosity index. Increasing the polar functionality has a positive impact on friction reduction and wear protection, known as ultra-high lubricity effect, resulting from powerful adsorption on metal surfaces as well as from the thermodynamic stabilization of the adsorbed layers by cross-linking and lateral interaction between adsorbed molecules. |
