爱大信息学院IPAB昆虫机器人实验室招高级博士后研究员，8月19日截止，机器人与类脑计算方向，待遇和讲师同级，欢迎申请，具体信息请参考文后链接。 The School of Informatics at Edinburgh is recruiting for a postdoctoral researcher in robotic grasping. The post is for up to 5 years. The post is for a a senior researcher on the project "An insect-inspired approach to robot grasping". This project aims to understand the incredible flexibility and robustness observed in ants when grasping arbitrary, unknown objects amongst clutter, despite their relatively simple grasping apparatus and small brains. The appointee will have key responsibility to develop and implement the ant-inspired grasping algorithms on robot platforms, and to evaluate them in benchmark and real-world tasks such as litter clearing. A second researcher will be principally responsible for analysis of the ant behaviour but both will be expected to work closely together, along with the PI and project partners. The researcher will join the Insect Robotics group within the School of Informatics at Edinburgh. Edinburgh University is one of the leading institutions in the EU for AI research and has, along with Heriot Watt University, established a National Robotarium with outstanding facilities and support for robotics research. This is anticipated to be a senior postdoc appointment, i.e., suitable for a candidate who already has research experience following their PhD, but good applicants who have recently completed their PhD will also be considered. The candidate should have thorough knowledge and experience of recent robot grasping research.
