[交流] 美国弗吉尼亚联邦大学(Virginia Commonwealth University)药物化学/有机合成博后招聘

A Medicinal and Synthetic Organic Chemistry postdoctoral fellow position is available in Dr. Yana Cen's lab in the Department of Medicinal Chemistry at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU)-MCV Campus. We are interested in using chemical probes and chemical tools to study the biological functions of epigenetic modification enzymes such sirtuins, DNMTs and KDMs. Additionally, we are also developing small molecule drug candidates targeting these enzymes as potential therapeutics for the treatment of metabolic disorders, neurodegenerative diseases and cancers.

The ideal candidate should have a PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry or a related discipline with strong technical abilities and a solid foundation in the principles and methods of synthetic organic and medicinal chemistry. Familiarity with biological principles to integrate effectively with biological collaborators. The successful applicant will have a strong scientific record, excellent communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of team, and willingness to help mentor junior scientists.

VCU offers an excellent benefits package and a competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. The initial appointment will be for a one-year period, with the possibility of an extension depending on performance and availability of funding.
