The Laboratory of Nanomedicine and Immunoengineering at the University of Kentucky invites
applications for a postdoctoral researcher position in the areas of nanomedicine and cancer
immunotherapy. The PI is interested in interdisciplinary and translational research that develops novel
biological/synthetic materials for drug and gene delivery, genome editing, and cancer immunotherapy (
For details, please visit https://nm.engr.uky.edu) and has good publication records in top-tier journals.
The postdoctoral research will be focused on investigating nanomaterial-induced immunological and
metabolic changes in solid tumors for cancer treatment. The candidate will also be encouraged to work
with PI and graduate students to pursue multiple research projects of interest to build a successful
career. The position starts in October 2021. The appointment will be full-time for 12 months. The annual

cancer centers that receive research funding and many other opportunities available only to the nation’s
best cancer centers and is consistently ranked as a top cancer center in the country by U.S. News &
World Report. The Markey cancer center provides world-class facilities and environments for laboratory,
translational and clinical cancer research. For candidates who desire to advance their career through
true integration of engineering and medicine, UK provides the right environment for them.

Requirements: The position requires a Ph.D. in cell and molecular biology, biomedical engineering, or
a related field. Candidates with backgrounds in molecular biology and cancer immunotherapy are
required. Experience with nanomaterials is preferred but not required. The candidate should have
demonstrated excellent communication and writing skills and a willingness to work in a research team.

Application procedures: Interested applicants should send a cover letter, curriculum vitae, research
