The fellow is being recruited for projects aimed at identifying biomarkers for therapeutic targets in multiple myeloma. The overarching goal of Dr. Yang’s translational research program is to study the mechanism underlying the pathogenesis of multiple myeloma. The lab currently focusing on the interaction of tumor cells with adipocytes, the association of obesity and cancer, and the role of the bone marrow microenvironment in chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and bone metastasis. These studies aim to provide novel and potential therapeutic targets and tools for the treatment of myeloma patients. Please refer to our recent publications for more information (Science Translational Medicine 8(353):353ra113, 2016. PMID: 275590962016; Science Translational Medicine 11(494), 2019.
