We have an opening for a Postdoctoral Fellow position in the Software PErformance, Analysis, and Reliability (SPEAR) at Concordia University, Montreal, Canada. The position is for two years with $50,000 per year (plus benefits), starting as soon as possible. The candidate is expected to have an active role in several on-going projects and will be involved in collaboration with other universities and industry. The candidate is also encouraged to pursue their own research direction.
The general requirements for the candidate are:
- Received or soon to receive a PhD in Computer Science or related areas.
- Strong background in software engineering.
- Demonstration of research excellence.
- Prior research experience in one or more of the following areas: Software Testing, Mining Software Repositories, AIOps, Log Analysis, SE4AI, AI4SE, Performance Engineering, and Source Code Analysis.
SPEAR has a track record of publishing at top SE conferences and journals, such as ICSE, FSE, ASE, TSE, TOSEM, etc. SPEAR is part of the vibrant Software Engineering group at Concordia University. Several Concordia SE graduates are now tenure-track faculty in Canada and USA. Located in Montreal, Concordia is an English-speaking university which has a large critical mass of software engineering researchers. Montreal is also home to many SE researchers and is often voted as one of the best cities in Canada for its livability. The city has the highest university students per capita in North America and is ranked as the best city to study abroad.
