Post-Doctoral Position in Urology

Commensurate with relevant research experience and NIH pay scale.

Description of Duties
Performs a variety of routine and specialized lab tests and experimental procedures in support of the original research of Dr. Qiang Li in Urology. Assists with research planning and conduct, to include data collection, initial interpretation, and troubleshooting as necessary. The candidate will have access to patient database, tissue specimen, cell culture, patient derived xenograft, next generation sequencing and genetic mouse model. The candidate will assist with writing animal and human trial protocols, manuscripts and grants.

Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD in cancer biology, genetics, bioinformatics or related field.
Research experience in human genetics, drug experiments & molecular biology.
Experience with genetically engineered mouse models, mouse breeding/care.
Demonstrated proficiency in data analysis in molecular and cancer biology.
Publications in high impact peer-reviewed journals.
Additional Skills needed:
Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills. Experience with next-generation sequencing data, RNAseq, single-cell sequencing and common analysis tools. Experience with R related to probability and statistics.
