新加坡生物工程和纳米技术研究所Jackie Y. Ying （Nano Today 主编）课题组近期在Nature Materials发表了一篇题为：“A general phase-transfer protocol for metal ions and its application in nanocrystal synthesis” 研究论文。 该论文最大的亮点：发现了许多水溶性过渡金属离子能够被转移到有机相中，从而实现贵金属纳米颗粒、纳米晶体、核壳纳米材料的合成采用水溶性的前体溶液，在有机相中实现可控合成。 “This protocol allowed nanocrystals to be synthesized in an organic medium using aqueous soluble metal salts as starting materials, which are relatively inexpensive and easily obtained.
