这是国外杂志或会议发表文章对稿件正文布局的一般要求，意思不要采用全对齐（中文版的两端对齐），也就是不要有右边恒定不变的正文布局。原文Instructions to Contributors中关于正文布局的要求如下：
Text Layout:
Use double spacing and wide (3 cm) margins. (Avoid full justification, i.e., do not use a constant right-hand margin.) Ensure that each new paragraph is clearly indicated. Present tables and figure legends on separate pages at the end of the manuscript. If possible, consult a recent issue of the journal to become familiar with layout and conventions. Number all pages consecutively, use 12 or 10 pt font size and standard fonts. Print the manuscript on one side of the paper only.
