Artificial Intelligence (AI) / bioinformatician research fellows (postdoctoral) / research officers / intern students / visiting scientists¡¯ positions are available in Chen Jinmiao lab (CJM lab) at Singapore Immunology Network (SIgN), A * STAR, Singapore. CJM lab focuses on developing AI / deep learning algorithms for single-cell data analysis and integration. Single-cell technologies include high-dimensional flow/mass cytometry, single-cell multi-omics, spatial transcriptomics / proteomics, and multi-plex IHC/IF image. These are newly emerging technologies allowing for measurements of cellular heterogeneity with unprecedented dimensionality. However, these technologies also produce large volumes of high dimensional, highly heterogenous and complex datasets that pose a significant technical challenge on data analysis and integration. There is an unmet need for new methods especially AI/deep learning for single-cell data analysis and integration. The job scope is to develop novel AI / deep learning to handle 1. large single cell atlas data (via online continual learning or other methods) 2. single-cell multi-omics data (via multi-modality / multi-view learning or other methods) 3. spatial transcriptomics / proteomics data (via graph neural network or other methods) 4) cell type identification (via transfer learning or other methods). The focus is to achieve better dimension reduction, unsupervised cell clustering, supervised cell classification, pseudo-time inference, batch effect correction / normalization, cell-to-cell interaction and etc. The expected deliverables are high-impact journal publications and patents. Interested candidates please contact chen_jinmiao@immunol.a-star.edu.sg Requirement: ¡¤ PhD/Master/Bachelor in any of computer science/engineering, mathematics, data science, computational biology, bioinformatics, statistics, or related fields ¡¤ Strong background in AI, deep learning, machine learning, pattern recognition, data mining and statistics is preferred ¡¤ Experience/ability to develop new data analysis methods ¡¤ Programming skills using any of R/python/perl/shell script/C++/Matlab/Java or similar ¡¤ Experience in analysis of NGS, mass/flow cytometry, or single-cell data (optional) ¡¤ Good team player, with good interpersonal skills ¡¤ Interest or background in biology or willing to learn ¡¤ Initiative, self-driven and critical thinking ¡¤ Ability to learn new technologies, willing to accept new challenges ¡¤ Good work ethics and attitude Contact: chen_jinmiao@immunol.a-star.edu.sg [ À´×Ô°æ¿éȺ ¸Û°Ą̈ ] |
