Positions 15+ Msc., Ph.D. (Scholarship), Postdoc Positions on Testing, Analysis, Verification, and general-purpose quality assurance for Machine Learning System, Autonomous Vehicles, Cyber-physical System, AIoT, AI Chips, Quantum computing and AI for healthcare. These positions are supported by the joined research collaboration and funding of the following three top universities, and once joined, the researchers can collaborate freely and have the oppertunities to visits the three labs frequently. • Intelligent Software Engineering Center, University of Alberta, Canada & Amii AI Institute Canada • Cybersecurity Lab of Nanyang Technological University, Singapore • Intelligent Software Center of Kyushu University, Japan Research Projects We have several exciting research projects on: • Quality, Safety and Security Assurance for Machine Learning and AI System Engineering • AI System Stack and Ecosystems • Testing and Analysis of Autonomous Vehicles (Real car with license available, ready to run immediately) • Testing and Analysis of Computer Vision, Speech Recognition, and Natural Language Processing Software System. • Testing and Analysis of Reinforcement Learning and its application in Industrial Video Games • Explainable AI (XAI) and its application in human brains, medical science, and material engineering • AIoT and AI chip and embedded system security • Modeling, Testing, Analysis, and Verification • AI for bioinformatics and healthcare • AI and Testing for quantum computing The tentative candidate would work at University of Alberta and Amii AI Institute Canada, Amii is one of the three biggest national AI centers in Canada besides Mila in Montreal and Vector in Toronto. The candidate can also work at the site of the Cyber-Security Laboratory at Nanyang Technological University Singapore, or Intelligent Software Engineering Kyushu University, Japan, which together are well equipped with powerful 60+ GPU servers, drones, autonomous cars. The position involves conducting basic research, developing tools, working as part of a large research team, traveling, giving presentations, with an exciting chance with industrial collaborations top top-tier Software systems and AI players. The working language is English. Requirements • Apart from the specific requirement to the topic, general candidate requirements are: • Strong motivation for a successful personal career. • A strong background in one or multiple related areas, but not limited to: • Intelligent Software Engineering • AI and XAI • Security • Chyber-physical Systems and Control • Robotics • Computer Vision • Speech • NLP • BCI • Bioinformatics. • … • Strong background in math and logic. • Strong programming and communication skills • The term is currently one to three year+ starting from 1 Jan 2021. The candidate will be either supported by full scholarship or receiving an attractive salary from 4k to 8k CAD/SGD per month based on the level and can be much higher based on the candidates' expertise (+ additional 1 to 3 months performance bonus).
