With vigorously stirring, 400μL of APTES and 600 L of ammonia were added to 50 mL of Fe3O4@SiO2 MNPs solution suspended in 95% ethanol/water solution. To enhance covalent bonding of the amine groups to the silica nanoparticle surface, the mixture was reacted for 4 h. The black precipitates were washed 3 times with ethanol and the obtained APTES-functionalized Fe3O4@SiO2 MNPs were re-dispersed in ethanol. |
