香港理工大学PolyU/Faculty of Engineering /Department of Electrical Engineering 博士招生 PhD Student Positions I am looking for highly motivated PhD students who are interested in research in the areas of on-ramp management focusing on using V2I (vehicle-to-infrastructure) features to assist merging of on-ramp vehicles. Prospective students should have: • Completed a Masters and/or Bachelor degrees in one of the following fields: transport engineering, control engineering, electrical engineering, operations research, applied mathematics, statistics, computer science or a relevant discipline. • Applicants must have a first class or good second upper class honours degree or equivalent in their undergraduate degree. • Proficient in English and with good writing skills. • Good analytic and math/programming skills (e.g., C/C++, Python, Matlab, etc.) The duration of Ph.D. study at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University takes approximately 3 years for candidates who already have Master’s degrees, and 4 years for those who only have bachelor degrees when being admitted. The stipend for PhD student is around HK$18,100 per month. There is a university fee of around HK$42,000 per annum. The students are expected to publish in top journals and scientific conferences.
