Multiple PhD student openings at the University of Notre Dame

The Advanced Manufacturing and Energy Lab (AMEL) directed by Professor Yanliang Zhang at the University of Notre Dame (A top 20 University in US) have multiple fully-funded PhD student opening positions with full tuition coverage plus a competitive stipend. The AMEL is working on cutting-edge research topics including additive manufacturing and scalable nanomanufacturing of functional devices and energy systems, nanostructured thermoelectric materials and devices, printed flexible electronics and sensors, and wearable devices. The student can receive a dual PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering if they participate in the MSE doctoral program. The GRE test score is optional this year. Interested applicants should send resume to Prof. Zhang by email: yzhang45@nd.edu. In addition, the applicants need to complete online application before Dec. 30, 2020. The Advanced Manufacturing and Energy Lab (AMEL) established a unique “Atomic to System Engineering” approach that synergistically integrates cutting-edge basic discovery and translational sciences to change the world we are living in. Yanliang Zhang is a Tenured Associate Professor at Notre Dame. He is a recipient of the prestigious National Science Foundation Career Award, and Young Investigator Award from International Thermoelectric Society.
