As an important (research) field of new nano-materials, magnetic nanocomposites have attracted more and more (researcher’) attention and made remarkable progress in practical applications. First, this paper summarized the wide applications of magnetic nanocomposites in medical field, such as drug loading, tumor diagnosis, magnetic hyperthermia, nuclear magnetic resonance imaging, and multi-mode imaging, etc. Second, it reviewed their extensive applications in immobilized enzymes, biological separation and other biological fields as well as water treatment. Last, it mentioned their applications and research progress in environmental and other fields. This paper pointed out that magnetic nanocomposites will develop in all walks of life in the future with their advantages of higher absorptivity, stronger environmental protection, lower production cost, and being greener and safer .
