Two opening positions for Postdoctoral Research Fellows are available in Dr. Yichen Ding's Lab in the Department of Bioengineering at UT Dallas / Southwestern Medical Center. Interested candidates please visit https://be.utdallas.edu//people/faculty/yichen-ding/ The Department of Bioengineering at UT Dallas offers a joint program with UT Southwestern Medical Center. The relationship between UT Dallas and UT Southwestern provides trainees with unique opportunities to collaborate on research in basic science through clinical translations, as well as opportunities to be involved in the creation of new high-tech companies. The program emphasizes an interdisciplinary approach, combining expertise in engineering and life sciences. Postdoc fellows: Highly motivated candidates with a strong background in one or more of the following areas: optical engineering, mechanical engineering, precision instruments, computer science, biochemistry, cell/molecular/developmental biology, vascular biology, and related biomedical science fields are encouraged to apply. The candidate must also have enthusiasm, excellent critical thinking skills, a track-record of productivity as demonstrated by peer-reviewed publications, an ability to work well both independently and as part of a team, and proficiency in written and oral English communication. Prior experience with optical microscopy, biomechanics, Matlab/LabView/Solidworks/Python, zebrafish/rodents, and cardiovascular study would be an advantage.
