【综合其他】Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme

The Hong Kong PhD Fellowships target top-flight students from around the world to undertake their PhD studies in Hong Kong. The scheme aims to recruit outstanding graduates, irrespective of country of origin and ethnic background, to Hong Kong. The Fellowship offers a monthly stipend of HK$20,000 (approximately US$2,600) and conference travel allowance of HK$10,000 (approximately US&1,300) per year for awardees for a maximum period of three years. Admission requirements: The applicant should hold a master degree (or going to get such a degree before July 1, 2010) in physics, materials science, or chemistry. The applicant should have a strong publication record. For applicants who have not obtained a degree from a recognized university of which the language of instruction is English are normally required to obtain a score of 6.0 or above in IELTS (International English Language Testing System); a TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of 550 or above, a computer-based TOEFL score of 213 or above, or an internet-based TOEFL score of 79 or above.
