The Atoms-to-System Lab at City University of Hong Kong, Department of Materials Science and Engineering, is looking for postdocs to work on several newly funded projects beginning immediately. The Lab is directed by Dr. Derek Ho, Associate Professor, a graduate from the University of Toronto, specializing in device design and fabrication. The Lab’s core strength is in the synthesis and application of novel electronic materials to devices, mainly for the sensing and energy fields. For details, please visit www.atomstosystems.com. The Lab is well equipped with materials synthesis, characterization, device fabrication, and integration facilities. Specifically, we have capabilities in synthesis (e.g. CVD, PLD, sputtering, hydrothermal, soft chemistry routes), characterization (e.g. SEM, TEM, XRD, XPS, Raman, FTIR), device fabrication, (e.g. micro-plotter, programmable laser, electro-spinners), and various testing platforms (e.g. mechanical/tensile tester, semiconductor parameter analyzer, gas sensing with environmental control, electrochemical/impedance analyzer). The candidate must have strong expertise in materials chemistry and have journal publications in at least one of the following areas: - flexible sensors (pressure, strain, chemical, gas) - energy storage devices (batteries, supercapacitor), energy harvesters For postdoc applicants eligible to be hired under the Hong Kong ITC Postdoctoral Hub (graduated from top 100 institutions, see website for detail), salary can reach $32000/month. If you are eligible, please state in email for high priority consideration. Please submit your cover letter/email, CV, in English, and first-author publications in PDF format. Complete applications will be considered with priority. |
