The ability to detect chemical compounds in near real time in the field can be extremely beneficial and is finding broad utilization for a number of applications by military personnel，emergency responders and environmental scientists。 Faster speeds of analysis are key to providing users with instantaneous data to answer time-sensitive questions on-site。The ABD is ready for analysis in 3 minutes with run-to-run cycle times of 5 minutes or less per sample。

Performing analyte extraction on-site is accomplished with the CUSDT solid phase microextraction （SPME）syringe。 Different phase types are available to target a broad range of chemicals。Target analytes can be sampled from trace to neat concentrations using the CUSDT SPME syringe。

Identifying compounds while in the field has many advantages。 Not only can time-sensitive questions be answered on-site ， but users also have the ability to be directed to the specific location of the contamination。

GC/TMS/SPME is a useful method for screening samples prior to formal EPA method analysis。Samples containing environmental contaminants at high concentrations can be diluted before causing crossover or carryover contamination during analysis。 This minimizes re-analysis of samples and reduces down time due to GC-TMS system overloading and/or contamination。

与之前EPA的分析方法相比，GC/TMS/SPME 是一个监测样品非常有用的方法。 在分析过程中，污染物的转向或转移都可以稀释环境中高浓度的污染物。
