哪位高手帮忙修改下面的语句，小弟不甚感谢！

About 37,340 new cases of thyroid cancer were diagnosed in the United States (American Cancer Society, 2007). Of which, women account for a high proportion. Thyroid cancer is one of the least deadly cancers, which mainly discovered in younger people. However, in Europe, about one percent of the cancers are diagnosed but with a high death rate. Prompt attention to signs and symptoms is still the best approach to diagnose most thyroid cancer early. Generally, in clinical, computerized tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and fine-needle biopsy are employed for finding out whether a suspicious area might be cancerous, or to check how far the cancer may have spread。
