Recently Watched Reality shows Popo and Mama

I was introduced a reality show called ‘乘风破浪的姐姐’ around two weeks ago when I took a walk with a friend. I watched the first season, saw several people I knew, and more that I have never heard of. I can tell that it is very competitive even in the entertainment field. Compared to decades ago, thousands of thousands of performers were trained in the schools, but only few of them can be famous in this field now. Since then, more similar reality shows drew my attention. The two shows that I like are ‘声临其境’ and ‘婆婆和妈妈’. The first one is about the capacity and ability of the performers to use their voices to express different roles. The second is about the interaction between family members of celebrities at home. I think this show is half real and half false. Many thoughts came out of my mind when I was watching these shows. First, these celebrities must make tons of money because they all live in huge houses in big cities. Second, these celebrities not only attend this show themselves, but also bring their family members and friends in the show. It can be a sacrifice to show people their private lives, but also it is a win-win business for both sides. At least, the ability that these celebrities’ family are able to attend these shows, suggested that their families are not too bad and are presentable. It is interesting to find out that some mums of the celebrities are very traditional and old-fashioned; some focus more on small things like food, saving money; some are much smarter and clever, focus more on communication and education; some have more authority in the family; but some are more constrained and loss self-confidence. People from broken family have more trouble to deal with conflicts, while people from wealthy and peaceful family are more relaxed and easy to enjoy life. Though going through troubles, people have different react towards how to handle troubles. I like Li Ai’s way to deal with her troubles. She makes herself stronger and take the responsibility herself. While Yi Nengjing set the hope to her husband and mother-in-law, have high standard towards others, criticize other people and make herself look great and innocent. The families I like the most are Jiangchao and Mai Dina’s family, Lin Zhiling’s family, Li Jiahang and Li Sheng’s family. Their mums are more respected, while Qin Hao’s mum was not respected and supported. Qin Hao was too quiet and silent, while Yi Nengjing was too dramatic and unreasonable. What I learned from these shows are: 1. Try to establish a well-off, stable, and peaceful family for children; 2. Focus more on improving myself, understand other people, provide support and kindness; 3. Be open-minded, think, talk, and communicate. |
