The demand for special talents in real estate is much more immense than ever before. So training qualified talents is very important for keeping a healthy development of the real estate industry. However, because of late beginning, no speciality provision and the short of experience etc, the current real estate education can't meet the demand for real estate talents. Since the real estate speciality was canceled in the adjustment of undergraduate specialized catalogue in 1998 in China, some colleges have to cultivate real estate talents by setting up real estate direction under some specialities, such as land resource management, resource-environment and urban-rural planning management, business management and urban planning etc. These specialities belong to five disciplines: economics, law, science, engineering and management. In a word, the current real estate education in Chinese colleges is disordered without system. It is necessary to improve real estate education, according to its situation in higher education and its status and prospect in national economy and social life. As far as the future improvement of Chinese real estate education is concerned, measures could be made in the following aspects: a). Set up several specialties related to real estate from the undergraduate to graduate education stage and train all levels of talents in colleges and universities. b). Specify the training goal of real estate education. c). Strengthen practical teaching. d). Enhancing the construction of teaching staff. e). Building a system by which the existence of real estate speciality and its scale are decided by the society or the market.
