A mixture of 1000 mg of NiCl2·6H2O, 250 mg sodium citrate and 2.8 g NaOH in 45 mL of deionized water was stirred vigorously for 1 h, a colloidal dispersion was formed. The gel was collected by centrifugation, washed with deionized water and dried in an oven overnight. The resulting solid of 200 mg and 1000 mg NaH2PO2 was mechanically grounded down into powder. The sample was heated at 543 k for 240 min in an Ar atmosphere, and then naturally cooled to ambient temperature under Ar. The black precipitates were washed with deionized water and ethanol, and collected by centrifugation, and dried in a vacuum oven at 353 K overnight. |
