给外导写信，回信后就没有然后了。 是我误会了么？

联系了一个外导，回信后我以为他愿意提供课程和图书馆使用就愿意的，但是没有再回复邮件，是我误会意思了么？ Thank you for your interest in studying in our department. In principle, I'd be happy to support your application to be an Academic Visitor in our department. However, as you probably know, my own research interests do not lie in your main research area, second language acquisition and teaching. I fear I personally would have little to contribute directly to your studies. There are colleagues in XXX's Division of xxxx and the Institute of xxx who are almost certainly better placed to contribute. This is not to rule out supporting your application altogether. We might still be able to host you and provide you with a platform for reaching out to other academics more attuned to your research interests. By platform I mean such things as attending taught linguistics courses and access to xxx's library facilities. Anyway, let me know what you think. |
