| 2020.04.20 reject. Thank you for submitting your paper to the EJA. It was, however, found to be unacceptable for the journal. The topic of your manuscript was in general interesting, but not fully in the scope of the journal. EJA publishes crop physiology oriented papers indeed, but it is important that the development of crop management and agricultural systems is emphasized all time. Furthermore, when determining the suitability of submitted articles for publication, particular scrutiny is placed on the extent to which it adds to existing knowledge in agronomy in particular, and how it compares with the many other articles that we receive. We prefer field experiments and they need to be in the most cases both multi-locational and/or multi-year and normally three at least. Studies, including those carried out in controlled conditions, that do not focus on impacts of different management practices at system level are not prioritized. |
