Cell Press
To expand our commitment to the physical sciences, Cell Press will be launching a prestigious and broad-interest new journal serving physics researchers. We are seeking a visionary Editor-in-Chief to lead this initiative. The Editor-in-Chief will have the unique opportunity to shape a prominent journal covering vibrant areas of physics research and lead an editorial team according to his or her creative vision. As a respected member of the global research community, the Editor-in-Chief will create a high-impact journal grounded in a strong understanding of the needs of authors, readers, and reviewers from the physics community. S/he will be responsible for defining the aims, scope, and formats for the journal, to develop a broad, impactful, topical and cohesive journal that appeals to a wide community of contemporary international physics researchers. The Editor-in-Chief will draw on an impressive network of leading researchers to attract world-leading article submissions, and ensure the quality and value of the journal as a forum for the best research, analysis and ideas. The journal’s strong contribution to the field will complement the premium chemistry and energy journals from Cell Press, Chem and Joule, as well as the new Cell Press journals Matter (covering materials science) and One Earth (covering sustainability). |

Cell Press很长时间没有出新刊了。最近终于出了一个叫做"Device"的杂志。https://www.cell.com/device/home 但从名称和简介来看,并不是之前预期的物理学杂志,而是关于仪器和应用技术。 Device—a physical science journal from Cell Press—is founded on the belief that the most innovative and disruptive technologies are developed when researchers from all of the disciplines involved in their development—from physicists and computer scientists, chemists and biologists, to materials scientists and engineers—are working together and sharing knowledge. Device aims to be the breakthrough journal to support device and application-orientated research from all disciplines, including applied physics, applied materials, nanotechnology, robotics, energy research, chemistry, biotechnology and biomedical sciences, photonics, electronics, engineering, and the Internet of Things, under a single title that focuses on the integration of these diverse disciplines in the creation of the cutting-edge technology of tomorrow. As such, Device will consider device and applied technology research of all scales and stages of development that discuss the deployment, integration, and performance of materials and technology in a real-world, purpose-driven context. The journal will also consider reviews and perspective articles that contextualize cutting-edge techniques, methods, and materials that may be relevant to practitioners across the development pipeline in an effort to drive adoption of new techniques and concepts earlier in the invention process. |
