Postdoctoral Research Associate Position Announcement

Dr. Like Li’s Research Group, Mechanical Engineering, Mississippi State University

Thermal Fluids and Energy Conversion Group

We are looking to hire a postdoctoral research associate immediately for a project on high-temperature thermochemical energy storage. Applicants should have demonstrated expertise in numerical modeling of thermal-fluids systems and thermal/chemical transport phenomena using HPC. Research experience with modeling fluid-solid interactions, particle movement/sedimentation, solid-state material reduction/oxidation kinetics, and high-temperature radiation transfer is highly desired.

Interested applicants should have strong computational and analytical skills and demonstrate intellectual independence, should be a team player that is able to collaborate with external experimentalists on reactor design, model validation, and reactor scale-up, and possess good oral and written communication skills.
