Reviewer #1: The English needs checking throughout; there are stylistic errors which are too numerous to list.

Chemical formulae; always use subscripts where appropriate.

Introduction: Please extend to include other diamond-based composites; i.e. diamond+WC/Co hardmetal and include reference [International Journal of Refractory Metals and Hard Materials, 71 (2018) 106-114].

Mechanical properties characterization: Why use three point bend rather than four point? Four point is more discriminating as far as defects (flaws) are concerned.

Discuss abrasion in terms of the Axen & Jacobson models [Wear Volume 174, Issues 1-2, May 1994, Pages 187-199]; basically, does one of the models fit your abrasion behaviours or not?

Discuss the sintering behaviour in terms of the relevant phase diagram(s).
