纽约州立宾汉姆顿大学软物质和界面现象实验室诚招博士

The Soft Matter and Interfacial Phenomena Lab (SaIL) at Binghamton University (https://bingweb.binghamton.edu/~xyong/) is inviting a motivated, talented PhD candidate to join us. We currently focuses on the numerical simulation and mathematical modeling of transport and interfacial phenomena in synthetic and biological soft materials, includes but not limited to colloidal assembly, polymer gels, bacterial membranes, and biofilms. The research findings from our group have been published in highly regarded journals like Nano Lett., ACS Nano, Angew. Chemie Int. Ed., J. Colloid Interface Sci., Macromolecules, J. Biol. Chem., etc. This fully funded PhD position is about the computational modeling of capillary assembly and deposition of colloidal particles. Candidates with a background in fluid mechanics, interfacial phenomena, and soft matter physics are encouraged to apply. Strong programming skills in C/C++ and experience with Lattice Boltzmann Method are preferred. Strong publication record and excellent research training will have significant advantages.
