KSS'2009 (The 10th International Symposium on Knowledge and Systems Sciences)
will be jointly held with the 6th Interantional Conference on Knowledge Management (ICKM'2009)
in Hong Kong during December 3-4, 2009. The theme of KSS'2009 is

"Knowledge Synthesis and Creation for Crisis Management"

Scope
The presentations and papers at KSS'2009 are expected to cover but not limited to the following areas:
- Creation of agent-based social systems sciences
- Cross-cultural learning on systems thinking and knowledge management
- Complex System Modeling and Analysis
- Decision support systems
- Knowledge creation: creativity support, awareness support, etc.
- Knowledge discovery: data mining, text mining, other statistical methods, etc.
- Knowledge systems engineering
- Meta-synthesis and Advanced Modeling
- Social network analysis
- Systems methodology for knowledge integration and creation
- Web intelligence tools
etc.

Papers Submission and Proceedings Publication

Prospective authors are invited to submit their full paper(s) electronically through a link from
http://www.ickm2009.org/snews/home/submission-guidelines/. All submissions will be reviewed by
at least 2 anonymous reviewers. Papers should be no longer than 12 pages and submitted as
a PDF file, according to the Proceedings Format. For inquiries related to paper submission,
please contact any one of the Academic Program Chairs: Prof. Patrick Chau (Pchau@business.hku.hk),
Prof. Eric Tsui (Eric.Tsui@polyu.edu.hk), or  Prof. Christian Wagner (iscw@cityu.edu.hk).

The proceeding for ICKM'2009 & KSS'2009 will be published by World Scientific as part of the
Book Series on Innovation and Knowledge Management.

Selected papers will be recommended to the some journals, e.g.
International Journal of Knowledge and Systems Sciences (ISKSS official journal), etc.

About KSS Symposia

Currently, KSS is an annual event of the International Society for Knowledge and Systems
Sciences (ISKSS) founded in December of 2003 during KSS'2003. Professor Yoshiteru Nakamroi
was the first president of ISKSS, which is also a member of
THE INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION FOR SYSTEMS RESEARCH (IFSR).
