The lab of Lipidomics in Metabolisms and Signaling (https://lipidomics.at/) is located in the heart of Vienna at the Institute of Analytical Chemistry, University Vienna. Besides scientific activities in the development of new and improved measuring methods and analytical separation techniques, research is undertaken in the areas biomedical and preclinical research generating bioanalytical tools for tomorrow already today.
We invite applications for:
PhD positions in lipidomics/multiomics
The lab seeks for a talented and highly motivated scientist in a FWF funded project to pursue mass spectrometry-based analysis of complex lipid assemblies to elucidate novel signaling hubs in lipid based nuclear receptor signaling.
The primary focus is the development and implementation of analytical tools suited for the quantitative analysis of signaling lipids to address fundamental questions in the field of fat cell differentiation. A successful candidate will work interdisciplinary, will stream line and develop analytical approaches and integrate them across various domains. Regular publication of scientific and methodological results is strongly encouraged. The successful candidate will be able to efficiently present complex results in a clear and concise manner that is accessible to a diverse audience of analytical, biological, and clinical scientists.
