水煤浆作为洁净煤技术，是我国能源十五规划的发展方向之一。如采用材料-1管，就可抵抗这种高粘度固液混合物产生的磨损和腐蚀现象，并因其具有自润滑性而减小输送阻力。
金属、化学矿山尾矿的长距离输送、冶金行业焦炭粉、矿粉、矿浆及冶炼废渣的处理 ，材料-1管主要解决磨损和腐蚀问题。
海盐在钢管输送过程中受到机械和水力的磨擦冲击，盐粒破碎，粉盐比例增加，造成粉盐流失，也容易产生结垢现象。大口径HDPE管已开始在输盐系统应用，如果采用材料-1管使用效果更佳，且可吸收冲击能而减少盐粒的破碎。(内蒙雅布赖盐业公司等）
  海湖盐生产正在改传统明沟输卤为管道输卤，矿盐也在不断新增和改造管道，材料-1管优良的耐腐蚀性将会大大提高其使用寿命，而且具有不结垢、阻力小等特点。（青海盐湖等）
