格罗宁根大学新开放两个全奖PhD位置(氢脆现象/高熵合金,偏向固体力学理论/计算)

格罗宁根大学(世界前100大学)助理教授francesco maresca博士现开放两个全奖phd位置,分别关于氢脆现象和高熵合金。 i have two open phd positions fully funded by nwo (netherlands organization for scientific research), related to multi-scale mechanics modelling (atomistic and continuum crystal plasticity) of the following research topics: [1] hydrogen embrittlement in steels [2] high entropy alloys location: faculty of science and engineering, university of groningen salary: [1] ~ 2300 gross per month in the first year, up to a maximum of ~ 3000 gross per month in the fourth and final year (depending on the latest collective labour agreement for dutch universities), based on a full-time position [2] holiday allowance of 8% gross annual income [3] 8.3% year-end bonus supplementary info: [1] phd candidate is automatically embedded in the graduate school engineering mechanics in the netherlands. [2] phd project-related activities, e.g. summer school and international conference are covered by the funding. supervisor info: dr. francesco maresca is currently setting up a new group at rug, as an assistant professor on mechanics, mechanical engineering and materials science from september 2019. he defended his phd with cum laude (top 5%) in 2015 in the group of prof. marc geers at tu/e (eindhoven university of technology). then he spent 3.5 years as a postdoctoral researcher at epfl (école polytechnique fédérale de lausanne), working with prof. william curtin. a few selected publications include: [1] maresca, f., & curtin, w. a.
