美国·路易斯安那州·新奥尔良市 xavier university of louisiana 博后招聘 诚招博士后！！！ 大家好，欢迎bioinformatics相关方向的即将毕业的博士或是已经毕业的博士申请xavier university of louisiana的博士后。张老师人很nice，人品、学术、语言等方面都无可挑剔。实验室条件以及待遇都很不错。欢迎大家咨询和投递简历。详细请查看附件pdf。具体信息如下： job description ╟ bioinformatics scientist, usa a full-time bioinformatics scientist position is available at the lab of dr. kun zhang at the xavier university of louisiana. this position is sought as part of a newly funded nih rcmi research project in the development and application of computational approaches to understand the mechanisms of cancer and/or cancer health disparities. please see our recent publications (cancer epidemiol biomarkers prev, 2018, pmid: 30262601; bioinformatics, 2018, pmid: 29950003; bmc genomics. 2018, pmid: 29954330). funding support for this position is secure for at least four years (2019-2023). zhang lab also collaborates with several experimental labs at tulane university and lsuhsc addressing diverse biological and biomedical questions (e.g. non-coding rnas, cancer immunology, etc.) regarding cancer progression, metastasis and treatment. the successful candidate will assist zhang with analysis, visualization, interpretation and organization of data for publication; assist with preparation of grant applications. he/she will also be involved in providing bioinformatics solutions on collaborative projects with faculty at partner institutions, such as tulane university and lsuhsc. requirements: • phd in a related field, including bioinformatics, biology, computer science, (bio)statistics or applied math. • experience in the application and development of bioinformatics algorithms/pipelines or statistical machine learning methods. • good programming skills in at least one programing language (e.g. r, matlab, python, perl, java). • experience working with tcga, geo or other large-scale data repositories is a plus. contact interested candidates please send a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, publication(s) in peer-reviewed journals (if any), and the contact information of three references to dr. kun zhang (kzhang@xula.edu, zhang.kun05@gmail.com). all questions regarding this position can be directed to zhang. consideration of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. salary & benefits highly competitive salary and benefits commensurate with experience and accomplishments. comprehensive benefits package includes various plans for medical, dental, vision, etc. xavier university of louisiana, located in new orleans, louisiana, usa, is a private liberal arts college. information of nih xavier rcmi center for cancer research can be found at http://www2.xula.edu/rcmi/about%20rcmi/index.html |
