【导师简介】
Dr. Kai LIU joined city university of hong kong in march 2019 as an assistant professor in animal welfare, ethics and behavior.
kai obtained his phd degree in agricultural and biosystems engineering (animal production systems engineering) from iowa state university, usa,
and then joined the swine teaching and research center at the university of pennsylvania, school of veterinary medicine, usa, as a postdoctoral
researcher. currently, he contributes to the bachelor of veterinary medicine by teaching courses in the areas of animal behavior and welfare and
intensive livestock production systems. he also conducts research in the area of precision livestock farming, mostly in poultry and swine
production systems.

precision livestock farming:
• engineering strategies/innovation for real-time monitoring, assessment, and management of farming animals regarding their behavior,
health, production, reproduction, and welfare

animal housing and environment management:
• alternative housing system design for farm animals
• behavior and production responses of farm animals to housing enrichment
• novel lighting technologies for poultry production

animal behavior and welfare:
• alternative housing systems for improved behavior and welfare of farm animals

【申请要求】
欢迎农业工程、畜牧工程、动物科学等相关背景的本科和硕士毕业生报名申请（应届或往届不限），具有硕士学位者及有文章发表者优先。
[英文要求]：雅思最低6.5（总分）、或托福机考>=79，特别优秀的学生，英语六级490分以上也可接受（需学校审批决定）。
