For values corresponding to the descending part of the transients and high overpotentials, the j versus t plot yields a straight line as expected under diffusion control (Fig. 3c). However, in contrast to a simple diffusional process, the straight lines gave a residual cathodic current and slightly different slopes for different overpotentials. Similar results have been reported for other electrocrystallization processes. |
