Call for Graduate Research Assistant
Bio-Geotechnical Engineering and Soil-Structure Interaction
One doctoral research assistant position is available in Dr. Hai Lin¡¯s research group at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Student Qualifications: Self-motivated and talented students (especially master students) are highly encouraged to apply. Applicants will preferably have a strong background in Geotechnical Engineering. Students with previous experimental and modeling research experience in Soil Mechanics, Geoenvironmental Engineering, Reliability and Statistics, and Soil-Structure Interaction will be considered as strong candidates.
Research Study Area: Bio-Mediated and Bio-Inspired Geotechnics and Soil-Structure Interaction
Funding: will be provided initially for 12 months and will be renewed each year based on the student¡¯s annual performance. The selected students will receive full tuition support and stipend to cover living expenses.
Application Deadline: Research assistant positions are open now for Fall 2020 semester, and the search will continue until the position is filled. Interested students are encouraged to contact Dr. Lin with a copy of CV and transcript via E-mail. The CV should include ranking among the graduating class and TOEFL and GRE scores (for international applicants only). The finalist will be informed and given research assistantship.
