Data Science PhD/Postdoc Scholarship Opportunities 数据科学博士/博士后奖学金

Research institution • The Data Science Lab (www.datasciences.org): at the Advanced Analytics Institute, University of Technology Sydney (UTS:AAI), as the first Australian research institution dedicated to data science and advanced analytics research, education and engagement with wide engagement with large business organizations • PhD in Analytics: established in 2011, the first doctoral degree in data science both in Australia and internationally, focusing on basic and applied research in data science PhD/fellowship scholarships • PhD scholarships: stipend at AUD$27-50k p.a. tax free for 3-3.5 years, and $34k for tuition fee p.a. could be waived for international candidates • CSC-sponsored PhD study at UTS or 1-2 year joint PhD study at UTS • The Lab-sponsored visiting student scholarships • The Lab-sponsored visiting scholar scholarships • Post-doctoral fellowship Research directions • Data science and machine learning theories and algorithms • Deep analytics and learning of complex data, behaviors and systems • Enterprise data science innovation • FinTech: data science and AI for FinTech Requirements • Both Australian and international candidates are welcome • Strong motivation for original high quality or high impact research in data science • Master by research in statistics, applied mathematics, computer science, operations research etc. relevant areas or fields • Published some good papers as first author or as the main contributor • Outstanding performance in ungraduated and postgraduate studies • English: IELTS Band 6 above for international candidates • Enrolment in Jan-Mar or Jul-Sept every year Enquiries • Data Science Lab (www.datasciences.org) • Send your CV, publications and research plan to Prof Longbing Cao: contacts@datasciences.org |
