PhD Scholarships in Chemical Engineering in University of Queensland, Australia
We are looking for 2 PhD students to work on:
• Applied electrochemistry.
• The modification of solid/liquid/gas interfaces.
The 2 PhD students will work within a large research team and collaborate with many internal and external researchers. Each PhD student will have chances to be trained in the industry in Australia or overseas. Each PhD student can choose to attend an international conference.
The scholarships cover the living expenses of $28,092 per annum tax-free (2019 rate) with the tuition fee waiver. To apply, Candidates should have a Master degree or will have one shortly in any applied chemistry or engineering discipline and ideally with at least two international English journal papers as the first author. International students have to meet UQ English requirement before the application. The next round application will start from 2 December 2019 until 17th January 2020.
UQ ranks in the top 50 as measured by the Performance Ranking of Scientific Papers for World Universities. The University also ranks 47 in the QS World University Rankings, 42 in the US News Best Global Universities Rankings, 66 in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings and 54 in the Academic Ranking of World Universities. UQ Chemical Engineering was ranked in the top 33rd worldwide in the 2019 QS subject rankings for chemical engineering and was the top ranking school in Australia. It was also given the highest score awarded for chemical engineering in Australia in the recent ERA study.
