国际科学基金申请
国际科学基金会总部设在瑞典斯德哥尔莫，主要资助发展中国家。中国的青年科学家（取得硕士以上学位）可以向该基金会申请项目资助，资助额一般在$10000左右。

欢迎中国青年科学家或取得硕士学位在读的博士生们去申请。

请注意，由于中国申请的人比较多，基金会将中国申请者的年龄限制在30岁（含30岁）以下，过了30岁就没有申请资格。

IFS is a research council with international operations and the mission to build the scientific capacity of developing countries in sciences related to the sustainable management of biological and water resources.
At IFS, we believe that the interests of both science and development are best served by promoting and nurturing the research efforts of promising young science graduates, who have the potential to become leading scientists in their countries.
Since 1974, we have provided support to more than 3500 IFS Grantees in some 100 developing countries in Africa, Asia and the Pacific, and Latin America and the Caribbean.

An eligible candidate for an IFS Research grant is

a citizen of a developing country; a scientist with at least a Master's or equivalent degree/research experience; under 40 years of age and at the beginning of research career; attached to a university, national research institution or a research-oriented NGO in a developing country.

Exceptions:

China: Chinese applicants must be under 30 years of age.
Researchers from Hong Kong SAR are not eligible for support from IFS.

Researchers from Sub-Saharan Africa are eligible for IFS support up to the age of 45, provided they have completed their highest academic degree (MSc, MA, PhD, Post-Doc or equivalent) in the previous 5 years.

Argentina, Mexico and Uruguay: Applications are no longer accepted from these countries - although for Mexican scientists currently having an IFS grant, renewal applications will be accepted during 2006 and 2007. (See note below.)
