[交流] Postdoc/Bioinformatician position open at UT Southwestern Medical Center

Center information:
The Quantitative Biomedical Research Center (QBRC) is a well-established research center at UT Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW). It aims to foster collaborations involving quantitative methods and technologies in any aspect of biomedical research, particularly for understanding disease etiologies and developing treatment and prevention strategies. Currently, the center has five faculty members, several staff members, postdocs and student research assistants. We are actively recruiting new members to join this new and dynamic group.

Position Title:
Postdoc and/or Staff Bioinformatician

Job description:
Mainly work on next generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis in cancer and other human diseases; Maintain and organize computational pipelines, infrastructure and resources

Position Qualifications:
1) Prior experience in NGS data analysis is strongly preferred.

2) Practical experience with Linux environments and command-line tools is required

3) Proficient in a least one of the following scientific computing software (R/Matlab) and scripting languages (bash/perl/python).

4) Candidates should have a master or doctoral degree in either one of the following fields, including bioinformatics, genetics/genomics, and systems biology.
