multiple fully-funded ph.d. positions are available in the smart energy systems group (https://www.ece.k-state.edu/psoc/) in the mike wiegers department of electrical and computer engineering at kansas state university. we are particularly interested in students with strong motivation and foundations in one or more of the following areas: 1. smart grid cyber-physical security 2. power system planning and operation 3. big data analytics and machine learning for the smart grid preferred qualifications: (1) m.s. in electrical engineering; (2) good oral and written communication skills, and (3) good programming skills. anticipated starting date is either spring or fall 2020. if interested, please send an email with your cv to dr. hongyu wu (zhanghangksu@gmail.com). kansas state university is a public research university with its main campus in manhattan, kansas, united states. kansas state university has one of the largest power engineering programs in the midwest. the smart energy systems group has a rich history of excellence in the power and energy systems area. |
