Faculty Position at Universidad de Concepción (full-time) Universidad de Concepción - Chile http://fi.udec.cl/ The Department of Computer Science , Universidad de Concepción, invites applications for a position as tenure-track Assistant Professor, or higher hierarchy according to the career stage, who will join the department in teaching undergraduate, Masters and Doctoral courses and in research. Only candidates with PhD in hand, a publication record, an active research agenda and some teaching experience can be considered for the job. Qualifications include: ● PhD in hand in Computer Science or similar discipline. ● Experience in research, with a publication track record according to the applicant's career stage. ● Teaching experience is a bonus. ● The applicant should have command of both English and Spanish, or willing to learn the latter in the period of 1 year after initial hiring. ● Availability as of January 2, 2020 or soon thereafter. Suitable applicants should send a letter of application, CV, up to 3 representative publications, statement of teaching and research interests, and teaching evaluations, if available, to Dr. Diego Seco at dseco@udec.cl. The application process requires names and contact information of three references. References will be contacted. Those applicants who are shortlisted will be invited to give a talk of their research area. The final deadline for applications is October 15, 2019 AoE.
